Every year the Gumball 3000 Foundation launches the Online Charity Grid listing all the participating teams in number order. The teams are then encouraged to donate money through the Online Charity Grid to their teams.

The Online Charity Grid closes the night before the start of the rally and the 10 cars who have raised the most money will be displayed on the starting grid in order of money raised, with the car raising the most taking the extremely coveted pole position.

In 2017 the Online Charity Grid raised an amazing £215,224.00 with team 53 ‘The Ugly Ducklings’ taking pole position having raised £25,075.00.

2018 saw a record breaking year for the Online Charity Grid with £426,702.55 being donated and team 28 ‘The Biggleswade Megabits’ raising an incredible £106,655.55.
