GUMBALL 3000 FOUNDATION X FELIPE PANTONE X VALENCIA CF FOUNDATION: RUTA URBANA

The Gumball 3000 Rally arrived in Valencia on the 25th September 2025, a year since the DANA floods that heavily impacted the region.

In collaboration with the Valencia CF Foundation and renowned artist Felipe Pantone, the Gumball 3000 Foundation helped deliver the fourth edition of the Ruta Urbana Valencia CF initiative in Benetússer, a town that was affected by the 2024 DANA floods. This project sought to restore the spirit of a community rebuilding through art, resilience, and collective hope.

At the heart of the project stands a monumental mural by Felipe Pantone, whose signature fusion of colour, motion, and digital energy redefines the rhythm of urban life. More than an artwork, the mural becomes a symbol of recovery - transforming the scars left by disaster into a vivid expression of strength and renewal.

For Felipe, this piece carries a profoundly personal dimension. His studio in nearby Massanassa was devastated by the floods, a loss that mirrored the hardship felt across the region. Out of that destruction emerged his mural “TERRA DE VALENTIA. Stability – Interruption – Clarity” - a visual meditation on the cycle of loss and regeneration.

As the artist explains, “It’s a timeline in which stability is abruptly interrupted by an accumulation of overwhelming events: the DANA. That irruption symbolises chaos, uncertainty, and the fragility of our environment. Yet beyond the interruption, the chromatic rhythm returns, leading toward greater clarity, light, and hope.”

Through his work, Felipe transforms rupture into renewal - turning a local tragedy into a universal story of resilience. The mural stands as both tribute and testament: a celebration of Benetússer’s collective strength and the unyielding creativity that rises from adversity.

“After every storm,” Pantone reflects, “a clearer horizon emerges.”
